100 Things about Me.

I read this on Jackie's blog and it took me 2 days to think of them all. Here goes.
1. When I was a kid, I was a compulsive liar. I told people my name was Alexis and people just called me Alison for short. (?) I told people I was on the Price is Right and that I saw the Harlem Globetrotters in person. (Wow. I'm sure all the people I told that were sooo impressed.)
2. I have No hair talent.
3. There are 18 years between the last sibling born to my mom and me.
4. I don't like to be spoken to while using the Facilities. Although being a mom doesn't lend itself too well to this rule. (Sadie thinks she's exempt from the rule! Any Scrubs fans?)
5. I HATE stepping in something wet with my socks on.
6. I own my own business and I like to say, "I own my own business." :)
7. Morgan and I have been together 12 1/2 years. (if you count his mission. Which I shouldn't, but I do.)
8. Let's see...the LEAST embarrassing thing I did as a child: my friends and I always mixed cleaning supplies to make perfume. This may explain some things.
9. I own about 20 pairs of shoes and 1 of them is comfortable.
10. 2 of my favorite movies: Blue Streak & Tommy Boy.
11. There is a Simpsons quote or quip applicable to EVERY situation. (This is about me because I know what it is in every situation.)
12. I am obsessed with pink. I may not have any interest in owning something, like a backhoe. But when they make one in pink I may want one.
13. I can NOT remember what I am doing from one minute to the next. It is a SERIOUS problem.
14. I hate to put away laundry. And it shows.
15. I can't sleep. It used to be you couldn't wake me up. I miss those days.
16. I love musicals. I love it when people break into song for no apparent reason. So sue me. I even love mockeries of musicals: i.e. the Simpsons.
17. I scrapbook in spurts. Sometimes to the point I make completely new books of pictures I've already scrapped because I have nothing left to scrap.
18. Love making lists and crossing stuff off. A lot of times I will write something down that I just did so I can cross it off the list. You do it too, don't lie.
19. I wish I had a Charleston Chew right now.
20. I'm going to build a house. I think. I am going to become a handi-woman. I think.
21. We run the Green River every year. We have a raft. It is massive.
22. I still keep in touch with almost every one of my friends all the way back to when I was 5. (no offense to someone reading this who I haven't contacted in a while.)
23. Extrovert is an obscene understatement--to the embarrassment of my poor husband.
24. Spring is my absolute favorite season. Summer a close second.
25. I love reading peoples' blogs. Maybe it's the voyeuristic quality in me. The part of me that loves to look in peoples' windows at night when I'm driving by.
26. I love interior decor but you'd never know it by looking at my current living situation.
27. I've lived in Utah my entire life. Yay me, what an accomplishment. "I'm in a happy little rut and I don't want to hoist myself out of it."
28. I have to have Dr. Pepper with my chocolate. And chocolate with my Dr. Pepper.
29. I love to host dinner parties even though I'm not a great cook.
30. I teach preschool in my home.
31. I feel I am too tall to wear heels but I do it anyway.
32. I worry ALL the time about what other people think of me--what I dress like, what my hair looks like, what my teeth look like. Then preach to my daughter all the time that it doesn't matter what other people think of her. :)
33. I flew to Georgia all by myself to see my sister when I was nine years old.
34. I love everything Vintage. If it is or if it looks like it is from 1930-1980, I want it. (The 80s have the nostalgic feel for me and the 30's and 40's remind me of my parents.)
35. Also, the music--Frank Sinatra, Billie Holladay, Louis Armstrong, Ella Fitzgerald. And no, I'm not 75, either.
36. I think I was like 12 when I started listening to the actual RADIO. Before that it was records (yes, the round flat things) of Care Bears and Cabbage Patch Kids. And I still remember some of the words.
37. I had Holly Hobby sheets when I was little.
38. And pink and red shag carpet.
39. I feel guilty for EVERYTHING. I hate it. I can figure out how to blame myself if the moon falls out of the sky. If only I hadn't....
40. Yesterday was my birthday. Happy birthday to me.
41. I hate onions. If an onion touches my hamburger it is then contaminated and is no good to me.
42. I will buy anything that smells like lavender & vanilla.
43. I hated Mexican food until Cafe Rio entered my life. Speaking of which, I could sure go for a shredded chicken salad w/ house dressing right now.
44. I change my mind a lot. Oh wait, no I don't.
45. I have taught Relief Society for over a year now and I still shake uncontrollably with my face red the whole time, despite the Extrovert comment earlier.
46. Goal for the summer: Become the handiest carpenter woman in Jensen (which could prove to be quite a feat, but I'll have a pink hardhat, so that will help.)
47. I watch Matlock. If I'm home alone and no one will find out. Woops.
48. And Bewitched. Dang, they just don't make 'em like that anymore.
49. I have 2 adopted siblings. I forget they're adopted until I see my sister's amazing artistic abilities and remember it's not in my blood.
50. I love to take pictures but I'm not great at it. Need more practice.
51. Competition motivates me. Especially when the other person doesn't know it's a competition. That is sick, but it's the only way I can win anything.
52. Hate movies w/ ugly people &/or creatures.
53. I was in a show choir & musicals in junior high and high school.
54. I never remember my dreams until I just about fall asleep again and then in the morning I can't remember it again.
55. My mom was life-flighted from Vernal to Salt Lake to have me. 27 years and one day ago.
56. I want to go back to New York soooo bad. Matter of fact, that is one of the only dreams I can remember: Morgan surprising me with a trip there. haha.
57. My car looks like a homeless person lives in it.
58. I give blood every chance I get but I can't watch what they're doing. It's sick.
59. My 1st concert was Survivor!! I sound like I'm 10 years older than I really am!! Eye of the Tiger, baby, Radical!!
60. I wish I liked to exercise but I don't. I tried to like it for a while, but it didn't take.
61. I spend more time at Wal-Mart than anyone who doesn't work there ever should.
62. We swim at the lake in the summer, not the pool.
63. I've never broken a bone.
64. Maybe I want to go on an African safari someday. But not kill anything, I think.
65. Yellow is nice.
66. I can play the piano but I'm progressively getting worse, as I never do it.
67. I want a new Nikon D70 something fierce.
68. I've decided I really don't like animals. Dogs or cats. Or pigs. Especially pigs.
69. I love to read but I haven't read anything in sooo long because if I find a good one, the whole family suffers. (True crime is what I read.)
70. Everyday at 10:30, I eat a peanut butter and honey sandwich.
71. I use Proactiv. To no avail.
72. My toenails are pink today.
73. I have 15 or so pairs of prescription glasses.
74. I never wear any of them.
75. I love the smell of rain!
76. I have a concealed weapon permit. (Betcha didn't know that!)
77. I have run out of gas. At very inconvenient times. Quite often.
78. I love the name Paige.
79. I watch Court TV if I ever watch TV. Or MSNBC Investigates. Love those.
80. I always imagine I can roller skate really fast, like faster than cars can drive.... (strange.)
81. I can't roller skate at all.
82. I have a snowboard and the whole getup. I used it once. I was 7 months pregnant. It was fun, though!
83. Bad manners in children irritate me. I am constantly irritated at my house.
84. I LOVE the movie Office Space. Uhhh...yeah...I'm gonna have to go ahead....and ask you to....watch that.
85. Every Sunday (almost) we listen to the same talk on tape by Hyrum Smith. It is really good, we love it.
86. I have a total of 12 nieces and 7 nephews.
87. I have 1 living grandparent.
88. I can't wait to live in our new house!!! We will have designed, planned, and built it from scratch.
89. I have two daughters. They're fighting right now. Again.
90. I love flip flops.
91. I have a pear-shaped wedding stone.
92. I have a float tube. I went fishing in it once. It's one of my very favorite summer memories.
93. I gained over 50 lbs. when I had my 2nd baby. Good times.
94. I love to get mail. Real mail. In the mailbox.
95. I love to sing in choirs but I don't do it.
96. I love artichokes and mushrooms.
97. I've never eaten sushi.
98. I hate movies that make me cry. HATE. Especially when I go into it not expecting it. Ughh.
99. I never rode the bus to school. I always lived too close to every school I went to.
100. I used to collect angels until I found out Angel was Morgan's ex-girlfriend's name.
Too much information, I'm sure!!! Oh well, there it is. ;)
