Lalalalala...She's Got the Look.
I wanted to do a little post about each of my kids. Today is Cydnie.
My new favorite thing to make her do (at this age you make them do cute things just to amuse yourself) is make her emotion faces. I told her for my Mother's Day present I wanted her to make the faces for the camera. (I'm so manipulative!) Here they are.
HAPPY
MAD
SAD
KISSY
SLEEPY
SURPRISED
A couple of quick recent stories on Cyd:
The other day we were talking about baptism. And for some reason my children are petrified of the prospect that they would have to do that! (I'm sure this is due to bad parenting.) Get their faces wet?? I'm sorry, that's asking too much for salvation. Cydnie was repeating over and over in the car, "I don't want to get sanitized. I don't want to get sanitized."
She hangs out a lot at Grandma Rosies. She is so gracious to feed us while we work on our house; we will never be able to repay all that they have done for us. I'm sure this little subject will require a post of its own really soon. Anyway, she was walking in the kitchen where someone was cooking and she gets this forlorn look on her face. "I am soooo hungry.... my mama doesn't feed me."
She was talking about her nursery teacher to my mom and how she likes her and everything. My mom said, "Oh? What's her name?" and Cyd said, "Grandma." And my mom said, "Oh, that's so sweet. Is that what you call her?" Cydnie: "No...that's her name!"
Just being herself.
I LOVE YOU CYDNIE HOPE!

Hope you had a wonderful Mother's Day!
HAHAHAHAHa...... these are awesome, but seeing them in person was WAAAAYYYYYYYY cooler!!!!! Are you moving yet? I know you are closer than we are...... but it is happening right?!
she's so cute. i sure so love that trampoline... i think about it often. do you remember when we use to make grass nests in your back yard? we would pick a huge pile and make a nest...
I've said it before & I'll say it again... Cyd has the BEST "mad face"! Can she give a glare, or what??? That will come in handy when she's married.
Oops...did I say that?
P.S. Julie, I tried to teach my kids and their friends to make grass nests to keep them busy while I gardened. They thought I was lame. I'm happy to hear someone else appreciates those little nests as much as I did!
