The Simspons Movie

Well, for the first time in my life I went to a movie on its premier night. First time ever! I was so excited all day. Morgan and my brother and I went to the Simpsons Movie last night. And let me just say, for all the hype it did not let me down. :) I did look at my watch one time and laughed to myself because it was exactly 30 minutes into it. That told me something about my attention span. Something else I thought about though, while I was there was the vast difference in type of people who were in attendance. There were cowboys in cowboy hats behind us (luckily they were behind us!), there were trendy girls with cute hair, grunge people w/ tattoos and spiked hair, and jeans and t-shirt kind of people like us. It was fun to listen to that many people laugh at the Simpsons at the same time as me because for 18 years I've been laughing at home. There were a couple of things we did not want to be revealed in the movie: i.e. the state that Springfield is in, (I know that's bad English, it's a direct quote from the Simpsons, if you're not familiar.) Maggie starting to talk, etc. They did not let us down in this respect. And I shielded myself from all commercials beforehand so I was not let down about that, either. We have been thoroughly enjoying the ability to purchase items such as Squishees, Buzz Colas, and Krusty O's at 7-11!! We would have liked to see more Mr. Burns and more Fat Tony. But overall it was a hit and we had a really good night. I won't give anything away because I didn't want to know anything so don't want to ruin it for someone else. (Like today on the radio the DJ said something like the funniest part in the movie!! If I would've heard that yesterday, holy cow that girl would've heard from ME!) Anyway, go see it. A good time will be had by all.
