Teenage Conversations.

So I was at a teenage uh.. function last night and I just wanted to share some of the snippets of conversation because I found them to be so ... thought provoking.
Please put the stereo-type teenage accent on these because it really was there.
Also, there was at LEAST one person "texting" at ALL TIMES.

girl: "Like, the cool thing about this scar, like is if you like push on it, you can feel bone."
boy: "Ewww, that is totally gross!"

boy: "So, did you REALLY think I was going to kill you when I was driving so fast around that corner?"
girl: "Well, I didn't think I was going to DIE but I totally thought you were going to ruin my car."
For the record, so did I.
but the question is, why was she letting him drive it?? Twice! After the first time he informed her there must be a governer on it because it dies when you go too fast around a corner.

girl: "Oh, my gosh, that was so totally deja vu. Like when you were saying you were going out for a Varsity spot on the soccer team, I was like, dude, I've been here before."

girl: "The other girl here and her best friend like the boy who is here. So the best friend is mad at her because he said he would go to her house, but he's here with the other girl. So they're trying to smooth things out with her so she's not mad at either of them."
This didn't make sense to me. Then I heard what the other "non-involved" friend was texting was, "They're practically ignoring each other" meaning the boy and the girl who were there. And uhhhh they were NOT practically ignoring each other unless ignoring means flirting uncontrollably and wrestling around.

It was a long 2 hours for me, folks. Tell me, why is it that when you can look back at high school, you don't remember being so self-involved, although you know it has to be true?? And the flirting was annoying to me. That has GOT TO MEAN I'M JUST OLD NOW!! :) And there's the good aspect of being old. :)
